Ekaterina holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from the Montclair State University and a Doctoral degree in Applied Linguistics from the Pennsylvania State University. Ekaterina’s first language is Russian, and prior to coming to the U.S., she taught English to children, students, and business people in Russia. Also, she has taught English in New York to recent immigrants from the former Soviet republics and countries of Latin America. Her research interests include critical pedagogy and international teaching assistants’ program development. Outside of IELI, Ekaterina enjoys traveling, hiking, swimming, and watching movies.
