Ann Roemer is Associate Professor in IELI and holds a PhD in Education, Culture, and Society from the University of Utah, a Master's degree in Teaching ESL/Spanish from the School for International Training in Vermont, and a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education/Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before moving to Utah, she lived and taught in Miami, Florida, and Barcelona, Spain. She has served as the chairperson of the Awards Committee of the TESOL International association and as a site reviewer for CEA, the Commission on English language Accreditation. Ann is the author of an oral communication textbook and the co-author of a grammar workbook. She enjoys yoga, skiing, bicycling, hiking, and traveling (she has visited over 65 countries).
